Rhubarb

Rhubarb jam. Strawberry rhubarb pie. OHHHHH Rhubarb.

On its own, it is quite sour (image sucking on a vegetal lemon), but paired with sugar and cooked down, it is absolutely remarkable.

We have know idea what strain the rhubarb is grown at Lazy Day farm. It tends to be later than most, greener than most, but its harvest is nearly twice as long as other rhubarb. Its been here . . . either when John Hull, or his father, Ralph Hull, planted it.

Not a fruit . . . per se, but it sure tastes and cooks like one! We remove the poisonous leaves after harvest . . . PER ORDER. Yup, you read that right! We pick per order. NOTHING gets harvested until you are on your way!
